A large part of a child’s self regulation is dependent on recognizing various different emotions. This basic set allows children to recognize emotions such as anger, sadness, excited etc. They can be used to describe how they are feeling that day or incorporate them into a matching game or activity.
The red, blue, yellow and green stones can also be closely linked to the zones of regulation used by many childcare centers and school boards.
